Making Learning Fun
At The Learning Loft we recognise that children learn faster when the experience is fun, challenging and rewarding. We teach all three core subjects Maths, English & Science at key stages 1-3. Students attend up to two sessions per week each session lasts one-and-a-half hours, one hour of tuition and half an hour in our chill out zone where we concentrate on developing social skills. At The Learning Loft we believe in keeping students motivated and to do this we use a range of techniques. Students receive an abundance of positive reinforcement during their session’s, they are also rewarded with certificates when learning objectives are reached and best of all they earn pirate treasure during each session which they save and trade for prizes.
Working with SuccessMaker
SuccessMaker delivers individualised learning in maths, reading, writing and spelling for students aged 5 - 14 years. Each student has a learning programme continuously tailored to personal needs; all students progress at their own level and pace and are free to achieve within the security of their own private learning space.
Despite its focus on core skills within Maths and English, the benefits of SuccessMaker are felt much further afield as academic and social gains can be transferred across school, home and community life.
Chill Out
At the end of each session the children will spend time in our chill out zone.
In the chill out zone they will meet new friends and play games. This helps to inspire confidence and social skills as all games are for two or more players.
